My brother says that everyone he knows in Santa Cruz who lives in a house with a backyard has their own chickens. I love the idea of having chickens, if only to have fresh eggs all the time. These were from our friends who live near Davenport. They were so much better tasting than normal store-bought eggs. I might have to get a coop for the fire escape!

Fresh eggs are the one of the most precious things. My brother used to have chickens and we reaped the benefits. I wish I still had access to them.
