this beautiful book cover being reissued by penguin is the work of none other than Shepard Fairey. I was fawning over the design and then read the penguin post and thought OF COURSE! So inimitably his style.

We did an impromptu photo shoot at a new friend's house while we were in Shasta, and while it's difficult to choose from the three settings we used (her house and her styling skills are amazing) I think this may be my favorite. Stephen's blue eyes just pop out of the colors of this image. Huge thanks and hugs to Betty and Andy for letting us run around their property in a vainglorious spree.
